The recent edition of the self-hosted edition of WordPress (WordPress.org) – edition 2.9 – has just been rolled out to users.

This release is branded “Carmen” and involves a number of notable contributions, involving the beginnings of a WordPress photo editing instrument (cropping, climbing and rotating), simpler video embeds and batch plugin updating that should retain you a bunch of time.
