Facebook apps leak user information: Report

Facebook users are inadvertently providing access to their names and in some cases even their friend’s names to advertising and Internet tracking companies, through some popular applications, the Wall Street Journal said.

How to embed facebook videos in web page

Face book didn’t allowed in start to embed face book videos to third party applications or websites. Now face book has enabled this feature, but for many users this is very difficult, as their is no plugin available for this.
Here is a simple solution for this.
Open face book video page.
Every video uploaded on Facebook has a unique ID that you can find in the browser’s address bar (look for the value of parameter “v”).
See yellow highlighted area in picture below.
Copy that number and replace it with xxx in the code below.

Microsoft’s Bing Integrates with Twitter & Facebook

Today, at Web 2.0 Summit the President of Microsoft’s Online Services Group Qi Lu conforms the integration of Twitter and Facebook with Bing search engine. In result of this deal the real time updated data from Twitter and Facebook will be accessible in the Bing search results.
Before this deal Bing isn’t capable to pull the real time information but this integration with giant real time social networks will strengthen the Microsoft’s search engine and make its results more effective.
Just as a little review on this Microsoft deal the Twitter is more open and provides the real time updates publicly whereas the Facebook users also have option to customize the settings either they want to go public with their updates or not. So, in this case not all the Facebook updates will be the part of Bing search results.
Now there are two things related to this deal for which we have to wait. First is that no details are revealed yet on the financial issues of this Microsoft deal and the other is the Google’s response in return of this Microsoft strategy to make the Bing a real time search engine. So, stay tune with us for further updates.
