- Remove all pins from plug by pulling them out forcefully before sawing.
- Buy more micro USB plugs to play with, as you will certainly break some before you finish one. I suggest using the inner (black) part of one plug combined with the metal casing of a different plug.
- Bent one pin as shown on the picture so it can fit into 2 pin slots, then cut it to a length that it won’t shorten any pin.
- Make the solder point as long as possible, this will add more stability.
- If you happen to have black hot-glue, use it as a finish to cover up the complete slot.

How to Root Samsung Epic 4G Touch
Step-1
First Download Root Files for Samsung Epic 4G Touch
Step-2
Put your Epic 4G into download mode by holding down Power button and Volume down buttton, when you see an option screen, release both buttons and press Volume up button
Step-3
When your device will get enter into download mode, connect your Epic 4G Touch to a Windows computer through USB cable
Step-4
Download and install Samsung Kies which will install the proper drivers to detect Epic 4G Touch on your computer
Step-5
Open up odin3 v1.85.exe, click on PDA, then select SPH-D710_Zedomax_Kernel.tar and hit Start
Step-6
Your Epic 4G will reboot, and you will find an app called SuperUser which means your device is successfully rooted
