Afridi fined 4.5 million rupees (£62,000) by the PCB
0The former Pakistan captain pleaded responsible to a charge of violating the board’s code of conduct.
Afridi held a meeting with the PCB on Tuesday and then withdrew a petition he filed against the board in the Sindh High Court on Wednesday, opening the way for his NOC to be reinstated.
His agent Umran Khan had told BBC Radio Solent he was sure that Afridi, who was also poised to play Twenty20 cricket for Hampshire last summer but opted to lead Pakistan in the Test series against Australia instead, would soon be turning out in the county’s colours. Afridi Press Meet after the World Semi-final 2011
0Pakistan Cricket team played a World cup 2011 under the captaincy of Boom Boom Afridi.Pakistani team played his all matches very well through out the Tournament. I think bowling side was good but the bating side was not balance enough like a Indian team or other top Teams. Afridi do his job well in the field of bowing and captaincy but was completely failed in beating. Pak Team went up to Semi Final with a Indian team but in Semi Final they do not perform well expect Abdul Wahab. He did bowl well and got a 5 wickets.
